چکیده

Organic semiconductors including rubrene, Alq3, copper phthalocyanine and pentacene are crystallized by the eutectic melt crystallization. Those organic semiconductors form good eutectic systems with the various volatile crystallizable additives such as benzoic acid, salicylic acid, naphthalene and 1,3,5-trichlorobenzene. Due to the formation of the eutectic system, organic semiconductors having originally high melting point (Tm > 300 °C) are melted and crystallized at low temperature (Te = 40.8-133 °C). The volatile crystallizable additives are easily removed by sublimation. For a model system using rubrene, single crystalline rubrene nanowires are prepared by the eutectic melt crystallization and the eutectic-melt-assisted nanoimpinting (EMAN) technique. It is demonstrated that crystal structure and the growth direction of rubrene can be controlled by using different volatile crystallizable additives. The field effect mobility of rubrene nanowires prepared using several different crystallizable additives are measured and compared.

Amorphous-to-crystalline phase transformation of thin film rubrene.

We report on the amorphous-to-crystalline phase transformation of rubrene thin films. The crystallization of the organic thin films displays disk-like domains whose nucleation and growth follow phase transformation kinetics well-established for inorganic materials under certain time and temperature conditions. We understood that the crystallization of amorphous rubrene thin film shows site-satu...

Kinetics of melt crystallization of organic eutectic forming binary mixtures in non-flow systems

The kinetics of melt crystallization of binary eutectic forming organic mixtures in non-flow systems with cooling from below for the preferential crystallization of one component alone have been studied experimentally. The effect of subcooling, superheating and the initial concentration of the melt on the crystallization kinetics have been studied. Based on the experimental data, a correlation ...

THE KINETIC AND MECHANISM OF CRYSTALLIZATION OF MGGEO3 IN 65GEO2-15PBO-10MGF2-10MGO GLASS SYSTEM

In this study, the crystallization behavior of a 65GeO2-15PbO-10MgF2-10MgO glass (prepared by the conventional melt quenching technique) has been investigated. The microstructure and crystallization behaviors of this glass were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), non-isothermal differential thermal analysis (DTA) and Fourier transform infrared spectr...

Crystallization Kinetics and Characterization of Nanostructure Mica Glass-Ceramics with Optical Transparency

Transparent glasses in a system of Li2O-MgO-SiO2-Al2O3-Fchemical constituents were prepared by melt quenching method. In the fabrication of nanocrystal glass-ceramics, controlled nucleation and subsequent crystal growth were necessary to avoid loss of transparency. It was therefore important to understand thermal properties and crystallization kinetic...

Crystallization Kinetics Study in Al87Ni10La3 Amorphous Alloy

In this study, the crystallization behavior of melt-spun Al87Ni10La3 amorphous phase was investigated by using X-ray diffraction and non-isothermal differential thermal analysis techniques. The results demonstrated that the amorphous phase exhibited two-stage crystallization on heating, i.e., at first step the amorphous phase transforms into α-Al phase and at second step Al11La3 and Al3Ni inter...
